Who is Mili Fay?

Mili Fay--Portrait by Catia Da Costa of CDC Photography

Mili Fay, a Toronto-based, award-winning artist and author trained as a classical animator at Sheridan College (2005), but when computer animation took over the field, she decided that she loved drawing more than animating. In November of 2011, she created Mili Fay Art, determined to use her talents to entertain, educate, and raise funds for worthy organisations.

In 2013, unwilling to compromise her artistic vision and wishing to learn as much as possible about the publishing industry, Mili self-published her first hardcover book Animals In My Hair. First presented at INSPIRE! Toronto International Book Fair (2014), this book continues to receive critical and reader acclaim, maintaining a 5-Star Rating on Amazon.

Unlike many of her contemporaries, Mili’s Artistic Style (a combination of animation and realism) is fluid, determined by the project, and can be pushed in either direction — photo realism, or graphic design. She is influenced by: classical Disney, Maria Pascual, Norman Rockwell, Glen Keane, Peter De Sève, Clair Wendling, Stephen Silver, Sargent, Monet,…

Today, when she is not illustrating or painting for others, Mili continues to create imaginative artwork and stories, always graced with a humorous modern twist.

You can find her published work on Amazon.
