War, death, a series of unfortunate events… I love schedules and order, but life decided to teach me chaos management. Graduating from Sheridan College, I dreamed of working in a studio surrounded by artists and creators. Life had other plans. It led me to create Mili Fay Art and produce my own art and stories with the vision of advocating for inclusion, environmental sustainability and quality education.
After caregiving and freelancing as an illustrator and portrait painter, I am finally free to commit to a studio lifestyle. For the past three years I have taken several Storyboarding courses to resharpen my skills; the latest being an in-studio experience at House of Cool (2023), where I got to learn first hand what it was like to work under a director’s supervision.
I dare to dream again. I would love to join DreamWorks because:
- to this day, my top three animated TV shows of all time include the original Trollhunters and Dragons: Race to the Edge. It is a dream to be a part of a team that creates impactful shows to inspire future generations.
- DreamWorks is a studio where several of my classmates have found their home and have reported a positive experience.
- after spending more time administrating than creating, I dream of finding a position that involves more drawing.
Why should DreamWorks hire me for the position?
- My non-traditional path has gifted me with many skills, turning me into an asset more than capable of hitting the creative goals of any series.
- Having managed various projects, I am aware of the work beyond the scope required of the position.
