Milica Hovanec Working As
Mili Fay
War, death, a series of unfortunate events… I love schedules and order, but life decided to teach me chaos management. Graduating from Sheridan College Animation I dreamed of working in a studio surrounded by artists and creators. Life had other plans. It led me to create Mili Fay Art and produce my own art and stories with the vision of advocating for inclusion, environmental sustainability and quality education.
After caregiving and freelancing, I am finally free to commit to a studio lifestyle. For the past three years I have enhanced my storyboarding skills through several projects and courses; the latest being an in-studio experience at House of Cool (2023), where I enjoyed working under a director’s supervision.
I would love to join Sony Pictures Animation team because:
- I intend to push artistic and storytelling boundaries.
- I would like to be challenged.
- After spending more time administrating than creating, I am excited to be in a position that involves a lot of drawing.
Why should Sony Pictures Animation hire me for the position?
- My non-traditional career path has led me to develop a diverse set of skills, turning me into an asset who can achieve the creative goals and realize the director’s vision.
- Having managed various projects, I am aware of the work beyond the scope required of the position.
- As a collaborative team player, as well as a strong self-directed individual, I have been acknowledged by supervisors, clients, and past colleagues as a person who is extremely easy to work with.
Thank you for your consideration.
— Mili Fay
