Hi! I’m Mili, a Toronto-based author-illustrator currently working on my own original graphic novels. While I focus on these larger projects, I’m available for select short-term illustration work, including cover art and projects requiring 1–3 illustrations.
I especially love working with fantasy, romance, adventure, and cute animals. I work in both traditional and digital media, with ink and watercolour being my favourite traditional combination. I also enjoy working with acrylic, pencil crayons, and pastels.

Work in progress. Emitá knows she should not touch The Golden Book of Eternity, a book that safeguards memories, because the moment she does, a memory will live again. However, memories are stories, and with her mother away, she cannot resist the call of adventure.
Trapped in a memory of a warrior’s last battle, can she find her way back before she is lost forever?

Work in progress. Ankhira is the creator of all. They shaped Ellen to dance, giving her a voice in movement, a strength in rhythm, a dream to follow. Ellen pirouettes past a monster, jig steps through mischievous numbers, pops and locks around bullies—until, at fourteen, an accident stills her world.
In a space between fantasy and reality, Ellen must redefine herself beyond the stage. JUST DANCE! is a lyrical graphic novel about loss, resilience, and a powerful truth: the dreams Ankhira gifts us never disappear—they transform and grow.

Work in progress from 2026 to 2016. Illustration concepts for my original fantasy novel series, a coming-of-age tale about a bookish princess who grows up while trying to keep peace in her Queendom, Land of Ardan, a haven for all magical creatures of Earth. Soon to be a graphic novel.

2013 to 2011. An ongoing collection of original short stories for kids ages 5–8 about colts and fillies in Canada.

Mili Fay is a Toronto-based story artist, illustrator, author, portrait painter, and globe trotter.
Growing up in Serbia, Mili loved art and stories, but was expected to pursue something more “practical.” After her family immigrated to Canada, she was given the chance to study animation at Sheridan College if she maintained a 90+ average in every subject. She did.
Although life took her down a different path than the one she had imagined, Mili never stopped creating. She founded Mili Fay Art to tell her own stories and has worked with clients including National Geographic and University Health Network. Her portrait work was featured in a Murdoch Mysteries exhibit, and she has helped build creative communities through SCBWI Canada East and Draw As You Are, a free art space launched in 2025 for artists around the world.
Mili is happiest when she is creating, exploring new places, and spending time with the people she loves.
