Mili Fay

Hi! I’m Mili. I’m an author, illustrator, story artist and publisher. I’m currently seeking an agent/trade publisher for my PB Just Dance! (see below).

As an illustrator I do not believe in one style fits all. Instead I adapt my style to best express the story’s needs.

Story is King. I love stories in all their forms and am passionate about inclusion, education, and environmental sustainability. With my work I try to bring the light back and heal what is broken.

Work in progress. Ellen solves all problems by dancing — monsters, bullies — nothing can stand in her way, until the day she may never dance again. The story explores what it means to be driven by dreams and what we can do when dreams that drive us suddenly disappear.

Ongoing series. The idea is to show the lessons I’ve learned from Disney princesses, while drawing them in my style inspired by actresses.

Work in progress from 2024 to 2016. Illustration concepts for my original fantasy novel series, a coming of age tale about a bookish princess who grows up while trying to keep peace in her Queendom; Land of Ardan, a haven for all magical creatures of Earth.

From 2020 to 2014. Some of these are fan art, some are originals, and some were created for clients.

2013. My favorite illustrations from my first picture book “Animals In My Hair.” Still nearly 5 Stars on Amazon.

2013 to 2011. An ongoing collection of original short stories for kids 5 to 8 about colts and fillies in Canada.
